DJ Entreat has been fascinated with djing since the age of 15. The radio contributed to the fascination, the more mixes played, the more he was interested. There were a lot of good dj’s on the radio back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, djs from KMEL, KSOL, and Live 105.

By the age of 17 he was buying new wave/modern rock records, and starting what would become a large collection. He has always wanted to start DJ’ing but didn’t know where to begin and didn’t know anyone that djed at the time. By the age of 24 he decided to give in and purchase equipment. He had put aside all of his other interests to pursue this new hobby.

Unfortunately he didn’t have any experience with music. After he got his turntables he thought he would be able self teach himself relatively quick, but that wasn’t the case. He began reading any information he could find and luckily had friends who were musicians that could help explain musical structure. He began recording himself and spending countless hours practicing.

After all his hard worked he never thought he would be able to DJ in public for all to hear and still make it fun.

He also enjoys spinning progressive house and vocal trance.
